Messi was born on June 24, 1987, in Rosario, Argentina. He began playing football at a young age, and by the age of six, he was already part of a local club. At the age of 13, Messi moved to Spain to join the youth academy of FC Barcelona. He made his professional debut for Barcelona in 2004, and soon became one of the team’s most important players.

Messi has won numerous awards and accolades throughout his career, including seven Ballon d’Or awards, which is given to the world’s best player each year. He has helped Barcelona win numerous titles, including ten La Liga championships, seven Copa del Rey titles, and four UEFA Champions League titles. 2. Write a report in about 250 words on ‘Gender Discrimination’ that is still
prevalent in our societies.

Ans: Gender discrimination is a pervasive problem that continues to persist in our societies. Despite significant strides made towards gender equality, discrimination against women and girls remains widespread, and it affects all aspects of life, including education, employment, healthcare, and politics.

In many societies, gender discrimination begins at a young age, with girls often being denied access to education or being given fewer opportunities than boys. This lack of education and opportunity can limit their potential and negatively impact their future employment prospects.

Women also face discrimination in the workplace, where they are often paid less than their male counterparts for the same work. They are also less likely to be promoted to higher positions or given equal opportunities for professional development.

In healthcare, gender discrimination can result in women receiving inadequate or substandard care. This is particularly true in developing countries, where women often lack access to basic healthcare services, such as prenatal care and reproductive healthcare.

Gender discrimination is also evident in politics, where women are vastly underrepresented in leadership positions. This lack of representation means that women’s voices are often excluded from important decision-making processes, which can perpetuate gender inequality and discrimination.

The prevalence of gender discrimination in our societies is a cause for concern, and efforts need to be made to address this problem. This can be achieved through education and awareness-raising campaigns, as well as the implementation of laws and policies that promote gender equality and protect women’s rights. It is essential that we work together to create a world where everyone is treated with respect and dignity, regardless of their gender.
