How The Dog Found Himself a New Master Summary
“How the Dog Found Himself a New Master” is a short story that tells the tale of a stray dog who is in search of a new master. The story begins with the dog wandering the streets, hungry and alone. He comes across a kind-hearted man who takes pity on him and decides to take him in as his own. The dog is overjoyed and grateful to have found a new home and master.
The man, who is a painter, takes the dog with him on his painting expeditions. The dog is fascinated by the beautiful landscapes and the man’s talent to paint them. He watches the painter carefully and starts to develop an interest in painting himself. The dog starts to experiment with painting, using his paws and tail, and soon he becomes a painter himself.
The dog’s paintings become quite popular and he starts to earn money from them. He uses the money to buy his master new paints and canvases, and also to feed and take care of him. The man is overjoyed and proud of his dog’s talent and the two of them become a happy team.
As time goes on, the man becomes ill and unable to continue painting, so the dog takes over. He becomes a renowned painter and is able to provide for himself and his master. The story ends with the dog and his master living a happy and comfortable life, with the dog having found not only a new master but also a new purpose in life.
